Knife violence in Britain is far worse than official statistics suggest,with almost 14,000 people taken to hospital for injuries caused by knives and other sharp weapons last year. According to the latest Department of Health statistics, an average of 38 victims of knife wounds are admitted to accident and emergency departments across the UK everyday.
These programmes take a comprehensive look at various weapons and how they can be utilised or deployed against a person. Our training is done utilising both lecture and hands on. The participants will gain a better understanding of what harsh realities we face in our society when it comes to weapons and the intent to use them against another. The courses teach participants knife defence skills that have been tried and tested. The skills taught are fast gross motor skills, as opposed to fine motor skills which become extremely difficult in stressful situations such as a knife attack.
This is a very comprehensive course on disarming an attacker when negotiation has failed and your life is in serious danger! This is when survival is the only option. Upon completion of the course participants will have a comprehensive set of disarm skills for e.g, knives, screwdrivers, bottles, improvised sharp weapons, baseball bats, firearms, The skills can be used in confined spaces, open spaces, alone or with a friend or loved one, whether out for a walk or during an attempted robbery.
